Tunic with embroidery, buttons, silver, coins; from Kohistan, a region in the Indus Valley region of Afghanistan bordering Pakistan. This one has an added girdle of coins, and inlaid silver triangular pendants with foiled glass work (shishika) as well rows of densely gilded metal trims on the arms. Mid 20th century.
