Enamel bracelet on silver, of a type that is often referred to as from Uzbekistan although my feeling is that this was made in the Caucuses by Russian enamelers and is most likely an Armenian example. During this period, the melding of designs incorporating enameling on other body styles, such as Uzbekistan, were most likely custom orders.
The design and style of the drawing of the tendrils and flowers has been influenced by European design style of the Art Nouveau period which had a wide reaching effect through out the Eastern worlds. This piece dates to 1900-18. The colors of the enameling and design style of the shape of the bracelet also reflects European designed jewelry of the period.
This piece opens and has a safety chain.
