Pair of guardians on horse back , created for use as architectural building ornaments. These were customarily created from glazed or un glazed cold painted and fired terracotta and built into the buildings they decorated. They were made in the Ming period through the late 19th c . These were created in the 19th c and are flat on one side where they would have been attached to the buildings, mostly at the roof level.
