A beautiful velvet dress from Afghanistan that was collected in the late 1960's in the field by the former owner. These dresses have been categorized for years as from Hazara and although there is much on going disagreement and investigation into who actually wore and created these sumptuous costumes, more research is needed and has been and will be undertaken by myself and various other private Afghani researchers.
For now the dress is in excellent condition having the usual wear and age associated with it. This has more than the usual amount of gold work on the skirt of the dress and dates to the late 19th/early 20th c
