Bakelite rings , a decoration used in hair ornamentation by various regional groups in the Savannah such as the Bella in Maili and woman from the Draa Valley in Morocco. Tanfouk ornaments in bakelite and carnelian are miniature Agadez crosses and are braided into the hair. Some of the larger carnelian ones are used on each side of the face or back braids.
