I up-cycled my own design with this two piece vest and long silk skirt set. I had designed this garment in the 80's - designing the fabric as well - and then decided to rip up the vest to create the its current personality. There is a slit up the back of the long cocktail-length skirt. This hand-loomed silk fabric is a luscious iridescent gray purple ... or is it a rose, or is it a peacock, or beetle wing blue? You decide, since it's all of that and more. The over-quilting adds a textural folded paper quality reminiscent of Japanese paper.
These were created in the special Atelier I ran within my workshop in India to create one-of-a kind designs along with the production on my "Images of Change" clothing line.
One size, vest and skirt, fits S-L.
