Domed diorama that houses a dressed antique Chinese doll, who sits on a vintage wooden furniture coaster, and leans on a carved Tibetan horned Om. The horns are created with Moroccan fetish pendants. The dome surrounded with a silver Syrian chain, the doll is crowned with what remains of a coral and silver earring, the throne back is mounted with a fragment of a Mongolian earring and the finial is made from half of a Chinese lacquered prayer bead set into a Mongolian earring componanent. The base is an antique Chinese carved pedestal that I up cycled with paint and lacquer. The braid keeps the dome padded.

Created by Linda Pastorino within Atelier Carpe Diem's workshops, the Asian doll diorama is the beginning of an intended group of future diorama's and domed creations that the owner will present over time.
Each creation uses a varied and unique set of collected materials that she has hoarded effectively for use in such projects consisting of remaining ethnic jewelry pieces, found objects, antique fragments and antique miniatures.
