A long elegant style that is known to be made from abu mitayn material that was produced in Mejdel area prior to 1948. It also was then woven in the Gaza strip by Mejdel weavers for refugees living in the coastal villages along the Gaza strip. This dress dates to the 1950's, 1960's. Note the hand embroidery on the back lower central hem area.

This was the first style of vintage Palestinian dress I owned when I was a teenager. I wore it and wore it until it looked like denim!
