Object of Art that can travel with you! My two favorite art forms are dioramas and decoupage. As a collector of shadow boxes and miniature antique creations, I am inspired to produce my own, and what better way than combining it with fashion? As a youth, making my own lunch box with magazine cutouts(all the rage in the 70's), I have had a lifelong passion for this antique art form.
This wood handbag that started life as an ugly duckling from a rummage find, is now painted, decoupaged and has a framed scene in carved bamboo. The decoupage is created from an early 14th century Greek icon. An agate peach has dropped to the ground waiting for the lucky passerby. Bronze clasp and chain.
As it can live in your closet, it can also live as an object any place and on your arm for special outings.
