Extremely rare man's coat, handmade in the upper Chitral Valley in Pakistan. The wool is hand woven, and the vegetable dyed embroidery has an astrological and tree of life motif. The button is an Islamic prayer (calligraphic engraved carnelian) of a type that is sometimes sewn onto peraks in the Kargil area near Ladakh. This type of coat is very hard to find; this piece is first and only one I have had over the course of my career. Dry clean only.
