Embroidered headdress with wool work embroidery much in the style similar to that of Turkoman headdresses having two Tenecir like earrings on the side of silver with inlaid carnelian. The front top of the crown is covered with coins and the front has a veil of beadwork. Early 20th c. See field photo as reference .
The Kurds of Khorasan live in a remote area of North Khorasan and Razavi Khorasan in northeastern Iran, along the Iran-Turkmenistan border. There are about 696 Kurdish villages in the two Khorasan provinces.
