An upcycled purple silk double-breasted coat with added embroidery and a change of buttons, via Atelier Carpe Diem. All the additional gold and purple embroidery was salvaged from an antique Afghani dress that once was in my closet, creating a very "Leon Bakst for the Sleeping Princess" look.
The jacket is a mid-century coat sewn and designed by a friend's mom, Trudi Seligman. She created this for herself from a Turkoman silk robe in this amazing purple. She had been a dealer of Tribal Art for many years and I knew her from her shop which was near my school in Manhattan. The A line shape looks great on any figure.
