Early Han mold made figure from the Yang Ling Mausoleum which was meant to represent the army of the Liu Qu Jingdi and his consort. The mausoleum was built in 153 BC.  Originally the figures had wooden arms and there are few surviving examples of those available.  This is made from Terracotta and when the dig was unearthed many of the figures at the time of discovery were damaged. Most were put back together, which in this case does not reduce the value of the piece.

Liu Qi Jingdi reigned from 157 BC and died in 141 BC; he died in his 47th year. Western Han Dynasty, Hebei Province, China .
